- L’Amer-Aussie MRF is an unregistered non-governmental organisation (NGO) that was established in 1995. Although no longer officially registered, it previously assisted individuals applying for Protection Visas (subclass 866) in Australia. The organisation helps individuals understand and navigate the complex immigration rules and procedures of the Australian federal government.
- If a visa application is refused, the NGO assists applicants in requesting a merit review of the decision from the Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT) within the Department of Immigration. In the final stage of this process, the unregistered NGO helps applicants by submitting petitions directly to the Minister for Immigration or by pursuing judicial reviews of their cases in the Federal or High Courts of Australia.
- The NGO focuses on developing pilot programs and recruitment strategies to attract new volunteers. Additionally, it runs promotional campaigns across advertising, publicity, sales, and fundraising, and conducts community involvement on various human rights issues.
- The individual behind this CV prepares and submits proposals to the federal government aimed at supporting the most disadvantaged groups, including vulnerable individuals, the unemployed, the elderly, and people with disabilities. One of these proposals is titled “Work for the Dole,” submitted in 1996. This submission seeks to enhance employment strategies for long-term unemployed individuals from non-English-speaking backgrounds and to develop projects that benefit older adults and people with disabilities.
- L’Amer-Aussies MRF (Multinational Refugees Foundation) has recruited 150 individuals to date. A total of 150 participants have completed training through the ‘Work for the Dole’ scheme. Additionally, 25 participants have enrolled in university studies and TAFE courses. All 150 volunteers have assisted elderly, disabled, and isolated individuals at home, in community centres, and through the hospital's elderly relief programs.
